Chapter 145

Soon, they arrived at the airport, and after checking in, they boarded the private jet.

"Mommy, daddy!" Viola rushed to hug her parents when she saw them.

Lily picked her up, even though she was starting to get heavy. She kissed her on the cheek and forehead.

"What are you and daddy hiding from me?" she asked her daughter, but the 5-year-old Viola just laughed.

"So,you both are keeping secrets now?" Lily said jokingly.

"It's a surprise for you, mummy! You're going to love it, trust me!" Viola said excitedly.

"It's our little secret, a father and daughter secret," Alexander added.

Lily rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her happiness. Seeing how excited her daughter was made her feel certain that it would be something she'd love, something she wouldn't expect.

Soon, they settled down on the private jet, and it took off for a destination that Lily was still unaware of.

About 30 minutes into the flight, Lily laid on Alexander's chest andfell asleep.

Alexander stared at his beautiful wife, who was peacefully sleeping,and then at his daughter. A smile spread across his face. These two were the best things that ever happened to him, and he couldn't imagine his life without them. This was one reason why he was so determined to make

sure Ariana was never a threat again-because even in prison, he felt his family would still be indanger.

Before long, they arrived at the island where Alexander had built a large resort. Lily was taken aback when she saw the place. She knew Alexander had been working on the resort but didn't realize it was already finished and fully operational. The resort looked busy with guests arriving and staff hustling to attend to them.

Lily was in awe of the scale of the resort. The land area was vast, and it stretched all the way to the mountain. From where she stood,she could see large private apartments beneath the resort, close to the mountain.

"Alexander, this place is so massíve! This resort can house thousands of families coming for holidays?" Lily exclaimed.

Alexander nodded. "You like it?"

Lily nodded enthusiastically.

Viola was holding both of her parents' hands as they walked toward the reception area.

"I built it for us. Although it's a resort, we have our own private suite."

Lily leaned in and gave him a kiss. "Thanks, baby. I love the surprise,"she smiled.

If this was the surprise, then Alexander had certainly succeeded in surprising her. It felt like paradise, with the distant mountain providing water and beautiful flowers everywhere. There was even a lake, a golf course, and other outdoor activities. The resort had everything, and Lily loved it.

Alexander shook his head. "This isn't the surprise, you'll see it in the evening."

"Huh?" Lily asked,surprised.

If this wasn't the surprise, then she couldn't imagine what it could be. She looked at Viola, but her little girl was grinning from ear to ear. Lily should have known by now that both father and daughter were partners in crime.

Lily realized that there was no way she would know until the surprise was revealed. It wouldn't be long until nightfall, and then she would find out.

They toured part of the resort for an hour, and Lily was in awe every time she saw something fantastic.

"This resort is in your name and Viola's," Alexander suddenly said.

Lily turned to him in surprise. "Really?"

"Yes, whose name other than yours and Viola's would be here?"

Earlier, he had said he built it for them, but she hadn't realized he meant that it wvas solely in their names. "Alexander, you mean it's only in our names?"

"Yes, baby. Why are you so surprised?" he asked, unable to understand why she hadn't expected this. She should have known by now that this was something he was capable of doing.

"Wow, Alexander, this place is so big! It's like a mini-town! It has everything, including a clinic, stores where different things are sold, and the local market is nearby. I thought this place was built with a partnership from some other corporation you were working with."

That's what she nad assumed-that trey weren t the sole owners. But now, it seemed like they were, especially if he could put only their names on it.

"No, babe, there's no way I'd let anyone else own even 1% of this place."

Lily hugged him and kissed him passionately. "Thank you, baby! I love it!"She was so excited. If they were the sole owners of such a massive project,it meant Alexander must have poured his life savings into it because a resort like this, made with fine materials and timeless designs, would cost a fortune.

Though she was thrilled, as his wife, she felt the need to say something."What if we end up needing partners, love?" she asked, concerned that he might have invested all his life savings and might not have any more personal finances left.

Alexander wrapped his arm around her waist. "It's like you forgot you're married to the youngest and richest billionaire in this city."

Lily smiled. "No, I didn't forget, but..."

"But nothing. You don't need to worry. I only invested the money my grandfather left me as an inheritance, not my personal fortune."

"Your grandfather's inheritance was that much?" Lily was shocked.

"Yes, it was. I was shocked too. I wondered why he had such a large amount in a trust fund instead of investing it. He even left me a letter explaining everything, and after reading it. I understood why. I also liquidated some of his overseas properties that we wouldn't be needing.That's how I got the funds for this project. I was surprised when it was enough for what was required. Many of the exterior and interior designs

were handcrafted."

Lily was in awe. She had no idea about this, but she was happy that Alexander had made such good use of his grandfather's inheritance.

"Thank you for building this place, baby. I love it," she said, her heart full of gratitude.

Alexander nodded. "You're welcome. Come on, let's head to our suite."

Their suite looked like a mini-mansion, and Lily absolutely loved it.

"You love it?"

"Yes, baby, I do." Lily said, in awe of the beauty. It had a perfect touch for a resort.

"Come, let me show you the bedroom."

"Okay," Lily agreed, but not before glancing at Viola. who was playing with her nannies in the garden, surrounded by their best bodyguards.

They stepped into the room, and Lily loved it immediately. "Alexander,this is my style."

"Yeah, I know, that's why I made sure it was done this way."

Alexander wrapped his arms around her waist. "Why don't we make use of the spacious bed now?"

Lily blushed. "But Alexander, Viola is just outside."

"She has the nannies and guards."

"I know, but what if she starts looking for us?"

"Don't worry. The room is soundproof, and the door is closed." Alexander assured her.

"You're sure nothing will spoil this moment?"

"Yes, baby." Alexander replied, his mind focused only on her.

"Okay," Lily said before wrapping her arms around him and kissing him.Alexander deepened the kiss, and soon, they were both in bliss.

Meanwhile, outside. Viola had played for 30 minutes before realizing her parents weren't around. When she asked, she was told they were busy.

After growing bored of playing, Viola was shown to her room,which she loved. She wished she could visit her parents' bedroom, but since they were busy, she decided to wait and see it later, after taking a nap.
