LILLY: About a month, maybe 2 later. Jessie tries to link with Kes, and Kes doesn't respond, so Jessie runs home todaddy (she uses finger quotes for the word daddy.) and tells him that Kes is ignoring her.“Wait,you're telling us Jessie rejected her own sister? That's insane." "Yes, I am,well,you know the outcome of Jessie's punishment for bullying, Calen,but what you don't know is that Kes got punished as well because she got you involved, instead of going straight to Drake. We both know that he wouldn't have believed a word Kes told him over Jessie, and that's why she did it. Oh, and Carson, don't be shocked when Kes continues to call him father, she has been doing it for the last few years." ( CALEN: I look at Carson in complete shock. We are both stunned by what she is telling us.) Calen asked, "What was Kes's punishment?" “A week of hard training with the elite Deltas." **“WHAT!"** Both men shouted.“That's right."“What about the graduation?" Carson asked, “That I have no clue about, but if you want my honest opinion, they just forgot about you. That's why Kes asked to have you here for her birthday. Which, by the way,they keep forgetting about. This will be the first time in I want to say about 3-4 years that it will even be acknowledged." I tell them."One more thing,you need to know, Carson, Kes accepted Amanda's rejection at the graduation gathering. And again, this was after Amanda dug her wolf's claws into Keska's arm. CARSON: I can't believe that Drake could be so blind as to let all this happen. “Is there anything special Keska has said she wants for her birthday?" I ask Lilly. “No, I bought her and Mackie a used car, as she insisted she didn't need a new model." “Well, what about a new phone?"I asked. "That might be a thought, She hasn't had a new phone in 3 years.Every time the twins get new phones, their old ones get handed down to Kes, and she takes the second one for Mackie." She tells us. I am getting more and more pissed with every new reveal she tells us. “What about James? How is he?""He has gotten better over the past couple of weeks,since he was told a few things by Drake and a pack member."“What things?""Well, they were all threatened that you could come back and take the pack back, and away from them completely, which I think gave them all a wake-up call, except for Keska, they were all a little scared.Then James, Wyatt, and Jessie had to go apologize to a pack member for breaking his window, which Keska took punishment for in the first place because the twins blamed her. Said pack member told James he has lost some respect because he didn't come forward and tell the truth to begin with. So, I believe that gave him a bit of a wake-up call, and then Keska got stabbed, I think that shook him to his core a bit, made him think how he was letting Jessie influence him." "Well, I guess I need to go shopping.Care to come with?" I ask Lilly. "As long as we are back by dinner.”She says.

LILLY: I link Stephen. *"I am going shopping with Alpha Carson. I am hoping to be back by dinner." "Ok, Miss Lilly.”* I close the link."Are you going to join us, Calen?” I asked the beta. “I don't know what I would get her," He says."Arrows, and lots of them." I tell him. "Yes, arrows, she is probably the second best shot in the pack,followed by Mackinzie, and I know that her having to not be able to shoot right now is driving her up wall so that will be a welcome gift for her,when she is able to get back to it." I tell them,

KESKA: For some reason. I am feeling antsy. I just don't know if it's because I really am not supposed to be doing anything strenuous or if it's due to the pain meds. and no. it's not because my birthday is tomorrow.because they most likely forgot about it. I go in search of Mom. I look for her in her office and she is not there. So. then I linked her. *“Mom, where are you?""With your father. in his office, why?"“I don't know. I just feel off. antsy. is there anything I can do to get rid of this feeling?”“Are you in pain?"“No."”"I guess you can see if Sarah needs any help in the kitchen,just be mindful of your stitches." "Ok."* I close the link and head to the kitchen.“Sarah.please give me something to do. I am going crazy, I feel so antsy right now." "Well. I can mix up a batch of your favorite cookies.And you can spoon them out." She tells me. "Done." She starts the batter,and I get the cookie sheets out and ready. My favorite cookie is chocolate chip WITHOUT the chocolate chips. I know I'm weird. But that is what I like. It helps that I can do something, it takes some of the antsiness away for a bit.

CARLA: Drake and I are going over the packs that we will be inviting to the ball. So far, we have the rules set.
