"Do you really want me to become the heir? If I did, Brady would definitely trap me in a cagel" Ethan reminded while slightly smiling.
"What I mean is, you worked so hard to save Cloud Group. Without you,it wouldn't have developed to where it is today! Are you really willing to let go just like this?" Jayden asked with a bitter smile.
"Let Brady enjoy his temporary victory. Not just anyone can snatch my belongings, and that includes him! I'll take Cloud Group back,and I'll make it rise even higher than before," Ethan confidently said,blinking at Jayden as if what happened just now didn't affect him at all.
Jayden was surprised, his intuition telling him that things weren't as simple as they appeared. Ethan seemed to have expected this to happen and had a backup plan.
Just as he was about to ask, Ethan's phone suddenly rang.
It was Chloe. Why was this girl calling again?

“Ethan, are you alright?" Chloe's concerned voice immediately came through the phone.
“What could be wrong with me? Why are you asking?" he replied with a smile.
"I saw the news about you..." she paused without continuing her sentence.
Ethan's eyes narrowed upon hearing that. He didn't expect Brady,
that old bastard, to act so quickly and announce it to the news!
"That's right, I'm no longer Cloud Group's chairman, and you could even call me a vagrant! Are you still willing to be friends with me?"Ethan asked with a carefree smile.
"What are you talking about? Do you think I only befriended you for your status?" Chloe couldn't help but sulk, but then grinned and continued,“But judging from your current state, you seem fine.I'm glad!”
“Thank you for your concern," Ethan felt somewhat touched. Not everyone would proactively call and care about you when you're down and out.
"We're friends now, so there's no need to be so distant. By the way,what's your next plan?" Chloe changed the topic.
“I haven't thought about it yet, but at least I'm sure I won't starve!”Ethan replied with a laugh.
She suddenly invited him,"How about coming to my company? I know it's small and you might not be impressed, but at least you have a temporary place. Of course, I won't stop you if you get better opportunities,”
"Just because you know about my situation doesn't mean you have to do this for me. Thank you for the offer!" Ethan said sincerely.
"You're welcome, buddly!"she replied warmly.
He reminded her with a serious tone,"Are you sure you want to help me at a time like this? My enemies are not easy to deal with."
She bluntly replied, "We've already established that we're friends, no?Why worry about burdening me anymore? Besides, if it weren't for your help, Zachary would've ruined my small company a longtime ago!”
