Chapter 65
Just as he was about to search elsewhere, he suddenly felt the familiar sensation in his hand again. The last basketball-sized stone on the display emitted a strong cool air fluctuation.
That massive and astonishing aura instantly poured into the bead in his chest, lasting for quite a long time.
Ethan feared that the litle bead would break!
At the same time, Jovan had picked a good stone from the pile of stones that Ethan had already inspected.
When Ethan paid $300,000 and was ready to take that large stone for processing, Clint and Jovan looked at him provocatively.
"Alex,it's good that you got lucky just now, but do you really think you're a master? Be careful not to lose all your money!" Clint sarcastically reminded, surprised that Ethan could actually afford to buy a several hundred-thousand-dollar stone.
"I don't need your concern!" Ethan couldn't be bothered to argue with this fool. He continued with the crucial task of processing the stone.
“Ungrateful!”
Clint's expression darkened, and he promptly placed the large stone Jovan had picked on the cutting table. He said to the craftsman,“Start with this one and let him see."
"What does it take to be a true master?"
"Since you want to embarrass yourself, I'll give you this opportunity!"
But Ethan wasn't angry. Clint's piece of ore was just one that he had
examined and discarded. It was just luck that it had a bit of green in it!
"Sorry, Alex. This piece of ore is important to me. Let's cut it open first. I'll cover the cost of cutting yours later!"
Hannah said apologetically to Ethan, her pretty face filled with nervousness.
This was the stone she'd bought for 800,000 dollars, and it was crucial for the company's development. She couldn't help but feel anxious!
Ethan sighed inwardly. Hannah, this foolish woman, was probably going to be taken advantage of by Clint and that self-righteous old man!
Soon, the stone Jovan selected was cut open, revealing a faint green vein after being washed!
"It's gone up... Just as I said, Mr. Foster is absolutely reliable!"
Clint became even more excited and burst into laughter.
Jovan, on the other hand, was overjoyed and wore an indescribable look of pride on his face.
Seeing this, Hannah instantly breathed a sigh of relief!
"Do you see that? This is what a true master looks like! You've got a lot to learn!"
Clint sneered at Ethan with scornful eyes.
"Miss Collins, how about you sell this stone to me for two million dollars?”
"Miss Collins, I'll offer two million four hundred thousand dollars!"
"I'll offer three million dollars!"
The merchants around them immediately voiced their prices, hoping to buy the stone from Hannah.
Although judging by its color, it was just ordinary parrot green, a piece this large could be worth at least five million dollars if they guessed right.
"If you don't want to lose money, you should sell it now while someone is offering a high price!”
Ethan calmly reminded Hannah.
"What do you know? This is just the beginning. What if it contains jade? Miss Collins would lose big time! Don't listen to him, Miss Collins. We need to keep cutting!"
Upon hearing this, Clint immediately taunted with sarcasm.
"Miss Collins, surely you don't believe this kid. Are you doubting even my judgment?”
At this moment, Jovan wore an unhappy expression and snorted.
"When are you going to make the second cut? I have other businesses waiting!”
The cutter urged impatiently with dissatisfaction.
Hannah hesitated at this moment. She had a feeling that Ethan wasn't one to act on impulse, but this piece of ore was related to the company's future development and raw materials. She had to be cautious!
"Mr. Foster, since you're so confident in your abilities, do you want to bet with me?"
Ethan suddenly laughed and asked Jovan calmly.
