Chapter 41

"Hello, Mr. Reyes, we got the person you asked for downstairs. Should I bring them up now?"

The man, hearing Emily's instructions, didn't dare to hesitate and immediately dialed Isaac's number.

Isaac frowned, "Why'd you bring them here without checking in first?"

The man replied nervously, "Sorry, Mr. Reyes, but this person has a really bad temper."

He wasn't exactly lying.

Emily was probably a proud and fiery person by nature.

After speaking, he sneaked a glance at Emily. Seeing no change in her expression, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Alright, alright, bring them up. Take them to the waiting room first."

Isaac replied impatiently.

After hanging up, he arranged for his assistant to greet them and allowed the man in the T-shirt to bring Emily upstairs directly.

Isaac was confident that Emily had likely been forced to take compromising photos, so she wouldn't dare to speak out.

The man, having received confirmation, immediately informed Emily.

Emily then got out of the car and walked straight into Fortune Tower.

The man hurried to follow, leaving his entourage waiting in the car downstairs. This was his way of ensuring that if anything happened, they would stiIl have a chance to escape.

Thanks to Isaac's assistant, they encountered no obstacles.

Emily reached the sixteenth floor and, as soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she began to act uncontrollably.

When the assistant led her towards the waiting room, she headed straight for the CEO's office.

"Hey, miss, the waiting room is this way. Mr. Reyes is currently busy and needs you to wait... Hey, slow down!" The assistant didn't expect Emily to move so quickly.

Before he could finish his reminder, Emily had already walked several feet away, almost reaching Isaac's office.

When Emily's hand was on the door handle, the assistant's face turned pale with fear.

Isaac was "very busy" at the moment, and any interruption could spell trouble for him.

"Stop!" The assistant shouted urgently.

Instantly, everyone in the CEO's office froze and looked in his direction.

Despite this, Emily's actions didn't stop.

The assistant's face turned even paler as he turned to the man, "Who is this girl? How could you let her act so recklessly here? Make her stop immediately."

The man could only shrug helplessly and continue following Emily.

Soon,he understood why the assistant was so panicked. "Get out! Who let you in?"

As the office door opened, a woman with a bare upper body was sitting in the lap of a middle-aged man.

The man's shirt was half-open.

It was clear what was happening here.

The woman screamed in shock at the sudden intrusion, quickly got up from Isaac's lap, grabbed her clothes.and turned her back to Emily and the others to get dressed.

Isaac, almost losing his composure due to the interruption, angrily cursed without caring who had entered.

Emily, unfazed, calmly walked in and found a seat. "I heard Mr. Reyes wanted to see me? Are you planning to talk to me dressed like that?"

Her tone was casual, with a hint of indifference.

There was no trace of shyness.

Isaac knew of Emily, but he had always heard she was a timid, insecure, and foolish girl picked up from the streets.

Seeing her now, he realized the rumors might be false.

Isaac glared at the assistant who had entered after Emily, then began to put on his clothes.

The woman, now dressed, hurriedly left the room under Issaac's order without looking at anyone.

Isaac turned to his assistant, "Dax, get out and close the door!"

Isaac cleared the room, then leaned back in his chair, hands on the armrests, lazily observing Emily. "You've certainly surprised me. You should know why I wanted to see you, right?"

Isaac's eyes flashed with anger as he thought of Byron's excruciating pain.

Initially, he thought Byron was faking it to force him to deal with Emily.

But after several days of Byron writhing in pain, visibly losing weight, and his cheekbones protruding, he believed Byron was truly suffering.

He had no idea what Emily had done, and even doctors couldn't figure it out.

"Of course! I know what you want, Mr. Reyes, but it seems you don't know what I want." Emily replied sweetly, with a smile.

Isaac felt a twinge of fear.

S

Something was off about Emily's attitude. Any other girl in her situation would be panicking.

Isaac shot a sharp look at the man, silently asking what was going on.

"You don't need to glare at him. If Mr. Reyes wants to talk business, why make it so complicated? I don't appreciate your methods. So,the upcoming negotiations might cost you."

Emily answered Isaac's unspoken question.

Isaac understood.

The photos hadn't worked, and now she had come to confront him directly.

He cursed the man for being useless, unable to handle one girl despite having a team of skilled fighters.

Isaac's expression hardened, and he sat up straight, abandoning his previous laziness. He picked up a pen from the desk, seemingly playing with it.

"What did you do to Byron? Tell me your terms as longas you make him recover, and I'll meet them. He's my only son, set to inherit the Reyes Group. I'll fulfill any reasonable condition."

Isaac's tone softened, becoming unusually agreeable.

The change was so sudden that the man beside him noticed and glanced at him twice.

Emily chuckled innocently, "Mr. Reyes, I don't understand what you're saying. I heard Byron wasn't well, and since you have a partnership with the Johnson family, I thought I'd offer my medical expertise. As for terms,it's just the medical fee."

She glanced at the pen in Isaac's hand.

It wasn't an ordinary pen, bout a recording device.

Issaac seemed to be playing with the pen, but he was actually recording everything.

Though it seemed casual, Emily had seen it before in her past life. She noticed the brief flash of red light.

She wouldn't fall for it easily.

If she had agreed to Isaac's terms and if she didn't treat Byron today, she could be accused of multiple crimes.

Isaac, seeing she wasn't falling for it, grew angry.

He slammed his hand on the desk, glaring at Emily, "You tricked my men into not taking your photos.I'll call that a smart move. But you are stupid enough to show your face here, in our territory. If you don't treat Byron today, you won't make it out of the Reyes Group!"
