Chapter 70

In the hospital, Nathan had been moved to a ward and his mother and father were currently inside his ward.

Mrs. Clemon was close to tears as she stared at her son who had bandages all over him and an oxygen mask on."My Nathan," She whispered with tears threatening to fall down her cheeks.

Mr. Clemon had a calm face but he couldn't control his emotions as tears formed in his eyes. He held his heart broken wife in his arms and said. "Don't worry. Nathan is strong. He won't give in. He would be back with us soon."

Mrs. Clemon hugged him and replied to her husband. "Yes.My son is strong. he would make it out of this." She then turned to Nathan. "My dear baby,if you can hear me,know that mommy misses you. Please fight this and open your eyes.Please." Her tears falling.

The family members of the Clemon Family stood outside staring into the ward each with their own thoughts.

Mr. Richards saw an intense gaze on him. He turned and saw Kyle heading towards Nathan's ward with gaze full of hatred locked on him. He shuddered a little. When Kyle got close to him, he whispered in a voice only the both of them could hear."Pray nothing happens to Nathan."

Mr. Richards became stomp when he heard Kyle's words. To him it felt like a threat as his voice sounded as cold as ice. He

turned and stared at Kyle who was standing not far from him and darkened his gaze. He knew for a fact that that wasn't just an empty threat because he knew who Kyle is.

He was sure Kyle had a tail on him in relation to the accident.He acted cool and stood beside Kyle whispering in an harmless voice "I don't understand what you mean."

"Don't worry. When it is time for you to understand,you will."Kyle replied coldly without sparing him a simple glance.

Mr. Richards took a single glance at the hospital ward and walked away. Kyle gritted his teeth as he saw him walking away."D*mn it!" He said with gritted teeth.

He hated people who parade themselves so high like Mr.Richards. He has been getting on their nerves for quite some time now. If he indeed had something to do with the accident that happened to Nathan, he wouldn't hesitate to put him where he had been yeaning to all this while.

Meanwhile, at this time inside Kiki Bees club, Daniel and Carmen had just walked inside. Once entered, they could hear the loud roaring. It was noisy and dim. Everyone inside was swaying their bodies like wild horses that were let loose. A scene of revelry and debauchery as everyone indulged in a life of luxury.

And just after walking in, Daniel's eyes were voluntarily attracted to the booth seat set at the lowest corner.

The booth seat set was a place purposely for Mr. Rex Cross. It wasn't just his party place. It was a place where only the highest level of debauchery one could think of goes on.Everyone already knows about Mr. Rex Cross's promiscuous lifestyle so it was normal among those who sat with him.

There he was drinking and laughing with his friends. It seemed like Rex happened to see Daniel's gaze. He involuntarily turned and locked gaze with him. Looking at him.a look of contempt and rumination can not help but appear on his face.

He got up with his glass in hand and walked towards Daniel and Carmen.

"Look who we got here." He said as he got close to them.

Daniel was repulsed just by looking at him. He decided to just go straight to the point. "Where is Hilda?"

When Carmen heard the kind of voice tone Daniel was using on Rex, she frowned. How could Daniel not care about anything and just go straight to asking about Hilda.She was pissed but there was no need for her to show it.

She needed to win over Daniel once again like before Hilda arrived back in town. "Yes. Mr. Cross please where is my sister?" She asked in an innocent voice.

Rex just laughed and said, "If you are here because of Hilda.I have no idea where she is but you could still join me let's have some fun. I'm having a little party among some friends. Let's

go so you join us. After all, we are going to be family soon."He said trying to provoke them.

Carmen was elated at the invite as there was no way she would have imagined sitting with Mr. Cross. But Daniel was so worried about finding Hilda that he didn't even want to believe Mr. Rex had nothing to do with it.

"Are you going to tell us where Hilda is or you want me to force it out of you?" He asked coldly.

Carmen was shocked by his sudden outburst. She turned to look at him and then Mr. Rex Cross.

Mr. Rex just looked at Daniel whiles his pair of delicate hands were swaying the red wine glass around. He slowly tasted the wine lightly while showing an air of dignity and disposition making Carmen's heart pound for him.

Although Mr. Rex wasn't a part of the big four, he was one to be reckoned on. He was a weirdo which made many fear him and his family is quiet loaded as compared to the Adam's and the Stephenson's but here was Daniel trying to mess with him.

Carmen was a little taken aback but she soon regained her composure.

"Mr. Rex, my sister have been away for some time now and we are all worried about her that is why Daniel seemed a little flustered. You know my sister still blames us and haven't forgiven us. So please do understand us. We are family so we wouldn't want anything bad happening to her." Carmen said

innocently.

Mr. Rex just laughed and turned to walk away. "Hah.."

Both Daniel and Carmen became so humiliated at the fact that

Mr. Rex didn't even bother to take them serious.

Daniel was about to grab him when Carmen pulled him whiles shaking her head. This is mostly the turf of Mr. Rex so if they were to cause a scene. it would be to their disadvantage.

"Let's just have some drinks and wait on Hilda. I'm very sure she would show up soon. She is no where around here but she would definitely come for Mr. Rex." Carmen advised.

Daniel thought what Carmen said did make sense. There was no way Mr. Rex would be here on his own. His woman would be joining him soon. So all they had to do was wait.

Daniel looked around and found a seat closer to the booth of

Mr. Rex so as when Hilda walks in, they wvould be able to see her. He gestured for them to go sit there.

Carmen wasn't happy with what Daniel was doing all because of Hilda but she couldn't complain. 'I have to get him tonight before Hilda arrives.' She thought.
