Chapter 78

Mrs. Clemon and Gloria both turned in hopes of seeing Nathan move but they were dejected by the outcome. Nathan's body looked still with no signs of any movement.

Gloria turned to the nurse angrily. "What kind of joke was that?"

The nurse was shocked at the voice Gloria used on her. She wanted to retort but she kept quiet and just lowered her head.Why would I lie to you about him turning when he did not?And here you are talking to me like one of your maids.' The nurse thought.

"Ain't you going to defend yourself?" Gloria asked angrily yet again.

"Madam, I am sorry. I thought I saw him move." The nurse said dejectedly in her defense.

Gloria payed no heed to her as she stormed out of the room. "I am ready for my medications." She said whiles walking out.

The nurse turned to Mrs. Clemon and tried to explain. "I am very sorry ma. I thought I saw him move his fingers. I didn't mean to get your hopes up." She said with her head lowered.

Mrs. Clemon smiled whiles she replied. "You do not have to apologize. I believe you when you said you saw him move.There is no need and for Gloria, you have to forgive her on my behalf. The accident has taken a toll on her that is why she

was a little harsh on you."

"Alright then ma. I will be taking my leave now." The nurse smiled as she said.

"Alright then my dear." Mrs. Clemon replied as she turned herself to look at Nathan once again. 'My dear, if it is really true that you moved. can you do that again? She said in a tone only she can hear and in a shaky voice.

She wanted to believe what the nuurse said earlier but she could not. Nathan was still lying down how he was before when Gloria placed his hand back on the bed. There was no signs of movement.

At this time, Mr. Clemon walked in. "My love, you have been in here all day. Let's go out for some fresh air."

"Hmm." That was all Mrs. Clemon said. She even wanted to tell her husband about what the nurse said earlier but she could not bring her self to tell him as she herself did not know if she believed it or not.

Mr. Clemon was also saddened by the fact that his wife has been staying beside Nathan and never wanted to leave him for once. Thus proposed for a little fresh air outside.

Never in his wildest dream did he think she would oblige to it with out a fight but to his surprise, she did. He did not know whether he was just hearing things but was happy that for once, his wife was willing to take a walk outside the four walls of Nathan's ward.

Inside Hilda's ward, Hilda was already out of the coma. She was just staring at the two people in front of her as she frown.She had no idea who they were and how come she was even in the hospital.

"How are you feeling now Mrs. Clemon?" Asked the lady in front of her.

"Who are you guys?" Hilda asked confused. As she knew.not many people knew that she was Mrs. Clemon. So how come this strangers in front of her knew? She thought.

"Oh sorry Madam. We are at you service madam. I am Nuella and this is Gasper. We will be assisting you with anything you will be needing now. I am your personal maid where as Gasper is your bodyguard." Nuella spoke up.

Nuella was a lovely lady with a height of 5"11 where as Gasper was a lanky but well built man with a height of 6"8. They were hired by Samuel to be with Hilda and make sure no harm befall her as they where out looking for who ever had a hand in the accident.

Nuella and Gasper are both mercenaries. They both use to serve in the army as personal guards to the ex president and the first lady of the country. But after they were overthrown by the ruling party, Both Nuella and Gasper decided it was time to leave the army. Nuella was know as Demon's Bride where as Gasper known as Demon.

They were two unstoppable people who could defeat a thousand armies all by them self. Most people who hear their names are shaken to the core in the army where as others have taken them as their role model.

It was a shame that they had retired from the army at such an early age as they would have both been the youngest commanding officers in the country to ever command an army of more than Five Hundred Thousand Soldiers.

They decided to retire together from the army and start a family together when they heard the most shocking news that Nathan Cross has met with an accident. They did not want to believe it at first but then Samuel himself reached out to them.

To them it was near impossible for someone to go up against Nathan unless the person was not afraid of his wrath. Nathan had been their benefactor and there wwas no way they were going to let who ever did this to go scot free so they chartered the first flight back to the country only to receive another shocking news that Nathan is married and that both he and his wife were met with the accident.

They wanted to spill blood but Samuel had them to baby sit Nathan's wife. Gasper just stared at Hilda with eyes that looked lifeless which caused Hilda to shiver. When Nuella saw that, she turned and berated him. "What do you think you are doing?" She said as she gave him the eye.

Gasper was confused at first but came to his senses when he saw how scared Hilda was of him.

After the introduction. Hilda asked to see Nathan. She tried getting up but she could not. She tried so hard to get off the bed but when she tried, she could not feel her legs.

She became scared stiff as she tried once again and she could not.

All that was going through her mind was. "My legs?"
