Chapter 73
At this time, it was around four am at dawn. The stars seem to light up sky as they shone brightly down the hills. The sound of insects and birds chirping was also the only thing you could hear in the still dawn. The view was pretty as Christopher. Kyle, Samuel. Dennis and Stanley stood at the edge of the hill looking at the remains of the sports car. Each with a different thought running in their head.
It was completely burnt to the extent that one wouldn't be able to recognize it.
"After the forensics done by the police, it showed that there was no one in the car. So we would have to look for Hilda by ourselves and with all the resources we got without letting the police in on anything. We wouldn't want to draw any attention on this incident. Nathan wouldn't be happy waking up to know that his wife is also lost."
"Samuel, your men will look towards the north east side of the hill."
"Christopher, yours will take the north west."
"Stanley, yours will be checking all the hospitals and nearby homes to find any accident victim within the last six hours."
"Dennis, hack and check the traffic control system and find the man who caused the accident. I don't think it was just an accident although not much people knew about Hilda, it would be possible that this wasn't just any random accident."
"Yes Sir." Dennis replied.
In less than ten minutes, everyone was up with their tasks. They were already down the hill searching for Hilda whiles Dennis and Stanley were also up with their tasks.
Hours and hours went by but the search still remained futile.
Meanwhile in the hospital at thistime. It was morning and there was still no sign of Nathan waking up. The family members were all distressed. His parent were the most stressed. It was almost time for the hours the doctor gave to be up and there was still no sign of Nathan waking up.
Turning around, she noticed that the likes of Samuel.Christopher and Kyle were no where to be found. They were all here a while ago so where could they have gone to? She turned to her husband. "Honey, where is Christopher, Samuel and Kyle? Seems like they left already without saying their goodbyes."
Mr. Clemon also turned and looked around. That's strange,he thought. Where would they have gone to when their sworn brother was lying down half dead. Unless something important came up. Mr. Clemon thought so. He turned and held his wife in his hand. "Something might have come up for them to have all left. I am sure they would all be back here soon."
"I bet so too. I know they won't leave Nathan half dead on his hospital bed like this."
Hours have passed and it was already afternoon. The sky was
dyed in a crimson red as the sun directed its ruthless rays across the skyline.
Along with Christopher and Samuel. Kyle came out of their various positions and met up at the agreed hillside.
Standing with his hands behind his back. Kyle looked across the horizon where a rumble could be heard in the distance. He was unperturbed and stated placidly. "It is just as what I have anticipated. This looks a little tricky. We need to get people in the air to secure our surroundings."
Kyle then went on to explain. "It doesn't seem like we are the only ones out here searching for Hilda. Judging from the foot prints from earlier. Although thereis still nothing to prove whether Hilda is still on here or not, I don't get how someone would know about Hilda. It looks a little too smooth that who ever had this planned would be somewhat powerful."
Samuel answered placidly. "Kyle, whoever planned this had set off in fulI force with all his power catching us completely off guard. Our men are still out there so there is no need to give up. Whoever planned this would be brought to their knees very soon. I am sure who ever is behind this might have left a few holes behind and our men will be sure to get them. We will find Hilda very soon."
Christopher was a little dumb as he listened to them. He couldn't even afford to say anything. Although to him Hilda does not deserve Nathan and that Nathan deserved better, there was no need for Hilda to be met with this accident. She was a really
nice girl who didn't like to create troubles.
Despite the silence, Kyle was still very composed as he looked in the distance. He spoke in a rather desolate tone. "If it is solely because of the position in the company alone that had ended Hilda up like this, Nathan would rather have given it up than sacrifice his love for Hilda like this. Where ever she is at this moment, she is surely in pains or suffering."
Samuel returned aloud. "Kyle. Nathan has a lot of enemies that we wouldn't know who is behind this. All this while, they have been acting snakelike. They have been trying to bring him down incessantly and now they have become conceited. Now it is inevitable to say that they deem him powerless because he had fell a little back after being married. We should show them who we really are. We big four are not meant to be mess with.Whoever had the guards to cross us should know to be able to pay the price for it."
Kyle felt much better after listening to that.
He raised his hand and touched Samuel on the shoulder. "The people behind this may have forgotten who we really are. We need to teach them to know who they can mess with and who they can't mess with."
Nathan,Kyle,Samuel and Christopher had been together since childhood. Their relationship goes beyond friendship. They are sworn brothers who swore to protect each other.
Out of the blue, Kyle turned around slowly and stared into the
distance.
Samuel and Christopher froze and asked. " Kyle, what happened?"
Kyle put on a faint smile. "We found Hilda."
