Chapter 85

The burner phone rang as soon as the two hours was up.

"Have you made your decision?"

"Yes I have." Chris replied.

"Alright then. Who is it going to be? Nathan's mom or Gloria?"

"None of them." Chris replied.

"Is that so? Alright. Don't blame me for your decision." Came angrily from the other end of the phone.

"No, no, no. That's not what I meant. I got someone far more important that I can replace Gloria with." Chris replied worriedly.

"Who else could be the perfect person if not Nathan's first love or mom?"

"There is someone. Her name is Hilda."

"Hilda? Who is she and what is she to Nathan? And why would she be the perfect candidate?"

"She is the most important person in Nathan's life now aside his family. She is the daughter of the Adams family. You might have heard of her. She had been in the news a few months back." Christopher explained.

"So what has she got to do with Nathan that makes her more

important than Gloria. Do not think about fooling me here as I hold the cards."

"She and Nathan got a thing." He hurriedly replied.

"She being his lover doesn't make her a possible candidate.Choose between Gloria and his mom now. Or you can kiss good bye to all your good life." The voice replied coldly.

"No, no, no, you don't get it. She is Nathan's wife. She is married to Nathan."

"What? Nathan is married?"

"Yes. They have been married for a few months now. And they are both happily enjoying their marriage."

Hahahahahaha. The voice laughed. "Who would have thought.Isn't she the ex girlfriend of that Daniel Stephenson? How come she is married with Nathan. Unless they have already had this affair behind Daniel."

"But thinking of it, why would you want tell me this? When you could just give Gloria to me? Why Hilda then?" The voice asked confused.

"Like you said she is the former girlfriend of Daniel. And she happens to be the black sheep of the family. The Adams family and the Clemon family are no where close in status. I think Nathan deserves better. He deserves someone qualified as he his."

"Hilda is no where close to being that perfect wife for him.And she now has Nathan wrapped in his hand. To me, she is not worthit. Nathan deserves someone better. So getting Hilda out of the way will be a little bad for him but I think he will be fine after some grieving."

Thinking about it on the other end, the person agreed. "Alright. All I need to do now is distract Nathan. Keep the phone beside you. And answer whenever it rings." After which the person hanged up.

Thinking back to that day, Chris didn't know whether it was a right decision he made giving Hilda out.

He starred at the burner phone in his hand and dialed one. As soon as the call was connected, a very cheerful robotic voice came from the end. "Hey Chris, so good to hear from you. What do you want?"

"You told me no one will be able to trace the accident but here,Kyle and Samuel already had the assassin who caused the accident. And with my knowledge of them, they already have something more about the accident." He worriedly barked into the phone.

"You should not be worried. Nothing is going to be trace.Everything done is irretraceable." Came the response.

"You do not know who you are dealing with. Kyle just left my place talking about a meet up point. And you should know with their expertise, they would go to heaven and back if

possible to find even the tiniest evidence to trace whoever."

Chris said worriedly.

The person at the other end frowned thinking about it. Of course he didn't leave anything traceable but to be certain, he needs to get a second check. Being cautious wouldn't kill anybody.

"There wouldn't be anything traced back to you and I. But just to be careful, I will send you the address."

"Why would you send me the address? I had nothing to do with all this? So why would you want me to? I can't I am sorry."

"Just listen to me. Be sure that even if there is a slight chance I'm going down, I will throw you under the bus to save myself. So you decide whether or not you would want to go check out the place for any hold back." The voice said coldly.

"Fine. Send the location." Chris caved in after sometime.

"If there is the need to burn the place down to the ground, be sure to."

As soon as the call ended, Chris received the location on his phone. He hurriedly changed into different clothes and got out of his apartment.

Looking around, he made sure no one will be following him.Neither being his personal guards or someone from the press.Being sure he was alone at the time, he hurriedly got into the

least expensive car in his garage.

It was a Nissan model for the normal working class. He then drove out of the apartment at full speed.

Not far from his apartment, Kyle had been parked there for over an hour since he left Chris's apartment. As soon as he saw him getting into the cheapest car in his garage.Kyle frowned but still didn't make any move.

He turned on his engine as he waited for Chris as he thought about all that was going on in his mind.
