Chapter 100

Right now, if she glanced in the mirror, she'd see her cheeks all flushed, eyes sparkling like little pools, her look all sultry, oozing that can't-resist charm.

Ella, feeling totally wiped out, dragged herself to take a quick shower and then crashed into bed.

When Arthur got back to bed, Ella had already shut her eyes.

He chuckled softly as he lifted the blanket, causing Ella to curl up like a scared little bird.

Arthur sighed and pulled her into his arms. "Just sleep! I swear I won't bug you anymore!"

However, his promise didn't hold much water.

Because in the middle of the night, Arthur kept kissing her again.

Even though he didn't go all the way, he did everything else.

Seeing the kiss marks and bite marks on her body, Ella angrily grabbed his arm and bit down hard.

After a whole night of chaos, it was already noon when she finally woke up.

Dragging her tired self, Ella opened the door and saw Sofia's teasing grin.

"Tired, huh? Come on over, I made you some nourishing soup! They say drinking this guarantees a baby boy!"

The rich aroma drifted over.

Thinking about the soup's purpose, Ella instinctively resisted.

Sofia cheerfully served a bowl and placed it beside her. "Hurry up and drink, Arthur had a bowl before he left!"

"Really?" Ella looked skeptical.

Sofia nodded. "Of course, having a baby isn't just your job, it takes both of you. Trust me, if you both follow the plan, you'll definitely have a baby!"

"Alright then!"

Though she said that, Ella had already made up her mind; she was determined to get a divorce ASAP.

Starving, she felt full after drinking a bowl of soup and soon arrived at Worry-Free Studio.

Sitting at her desk, Ella called the other two over.

"Emily, there are only three of us in the studio, and we've taken on a big project. We need to work together, or we won't be able to handle it! Don't worry, there will be bonuses after this project!"

Emily smiled happily. "Thank you. I'll definitely follow orders and work hard to complete the task!"

"Alright, let's team up and we'Il definitely finish it!" Ella handed the prepared materials to the two of them.

"Even though I'm a fashion designer, this time we're designing costumes for a historical drama. This means we need to ensure the costumes are historicallyaccurate. We need to combine history and find relevant info! It'Il be hard work for you."

One person's strength was limited.

To avoid designing historically inaccurate costumes, for the next few days, the three of them would research and mark important points.

The three of them formed a team and quickly divided the work.

At the end of the day, Lily stood by, hesitant to speak.

Ella raised an eyebrow. "What's up?"

"What do you think of Glenn?"

Ella was stunned. "What do you mean?"

"Don't play dumb with me, Glenn likes you. What do you think?"

"What can I think? I'm not divorced yet. I can only take it one step at a time, and besides..."

Thinking of their past relationship, Ella smiled bitterly. "There's a big gap between us, so don't talk nonsense! I don't want to affect him!"

"You always think about others, not yourself!"

The two of them chatted as they walked to the studio entrance.

A Rolls-Royce Phantom pulled up.

The window rolled down, and a familiar face appeared.

Ella frowned. "I can go back by myself!"

"Get in the car, Grandpa wants us to go back!"

Even though they were getting divorced, dealing with the elders was still a

shared responsibility.

Ella waved to Lily. "You go ahead, I have a task to complete!"

The word "task" drifted into his ears with the wind.

Arthur's face darkened.

The car sped down the road in silence.

Ella sensed that the atmosphere was a bit off, but she didn't pay it much mind, assuming he was just stressed about work.

Not wanting to be his emotional punching bag, she propped her chin on her hand and looked out the window.

Coincidentally, it was especially congested after work today, and under the neon lights, her beautiful face looked even more alluring.

Arthur glanced at her out of the corner of his eye,his throat tightening. He pulled Ella's waist, trapping her in his arms.

"You!"

Just as she was about to say there were people around, the driver in front sensibly pulled up the partition.

The back of the car became a private space.

Ella's face flushed as she pushed Arthur away. "I'm very tired!"

"Really?"

Arthur's tall body pressed closer, his eyes full of mischief. "Are you sure?"

"We're almost there, don't mess around!"

To Ella's relief, the traffic cleared up.

Soon, the car arrived at the Smith Villa.

Before getting out, she saw Robert coming out with a cane.

Robert's kind smile made her feel at ease.

Ella got out of the car and greeted him. "Grandpa, why did you come out!"

"Of course, to welcome you! How have you been? How's your health?"

Robert was eagerly hoping for a grandchild.

Ella's smile became a bit awkward. She warmly took Robert's arm. "I'm fine, just a bit busy with work lately. Let's go inside first!"

They chatted and laughed as they walked in.

"Isn't this the busy bee? Instead of being a good rich wife, you insist on working for others, born lowly!"

A sharp, sarcastic voice suddenly sounded.

Ella looked up and saw that Arthur's aunt, Gabriella Jade, was also there.

Every time they met over the years, Gabriella would mock her.

In the past, Ella would never talk back.

But now, since she and Arthur were getting dlivorced, why should she put up with it?

Ella's smile faded, and she spoke unceremoniously, "Born lowly? What do you mean by that? Are you looking down on hardworking people? I remember Grandpa saying the Jade family used to be poor, right?"

Halfway through, she turned to Robert with a smile.

Robert glared at Gabriella, displeased. "As an elder, you should act like one.Stop being so sharp-tongued. If you keep this up, go home and don't come here to be an eyesore!"

Robert's words were extremely blunt, like a slap in the face.

Gabriella had never been treated like this.

In the past, Ella would never have dared to talk back to her.

She stood up abruptly from the sofa. "Dad, you're siding with an outsider now, and what did I say wrong? She married into a wealthy family and doesn't think about having children, just about working."

"Shut up!"

Robert, unable to bear it, scolded coldly, "If you keep this up, leave now."

"Dad,you've changed!"
