Chapter 36

Ella had no clue what those two dlirectors were chatting about.

Back in herroom, she was wiped out and just flopped onto the bed,not wanting to move an inch.

Lily noticed and said, "What do you think that jerk is up to? He's so unpredictable,he actually..."

"Whatever, we're getting divorced! He's not worth our time."

Ella clearly didnI't want to hear Arthur's name and was about to get up for a shower when her phone buzzed.

She glanced at it and got furious. "That bastard!"

"What happened?" Lily leaned over, curious. "What's that idiot thinking now? He wants you to wake up early just to make him breakfast?"

He had the nerve toorder sandwiches, burgers, freshly squeezed juice...

Moreover, Arthur threatened her, saying that if there was no breakfast tomorrow,he'd be so mad he'd expose her hat and mask.

Ela's face turned red with anger. "I'm going to..."

Thinking of Arthur's temper, she stopped. "Forget it, I'll just pretend I didn't see his message!"

Just as she finished speaking, her phone buzzed again.

[Don't pretend you didn't see it.]

"Does he know you that well?" Lily exclaimed.

Ella was speechless, "He's crazy!"

[No cursing.]

Ella lookedI up and scanned the room like a radar.

Lily was puzzled. "What are you doing?"

"I think he might have installed surveillance in our room!"

"That makes sense!"

Then, the two of them searched the entire room thoroughly.

In the end. they were exhausted and found nothing.

"Forget it! Let's just sleep!"

"Okay!"

After a quick wash, the two of them lay down and fell asleep.

In her sleep. Lily turned over and felt like she had forgotten something.

Meanwhile, Arthur sat by the floor-to-ceiling window, gently swirling a wine glass with his slender fingers.

Alan leaned in. "Why did you take my phone? Give it back!"

"Buy another one!"

"What? You're so overbearing!"

As if thinking of something, Alan suddenly smiled. "Tell me, what's going on between you and Ms. Worry-Free!"

"None of your business!"

Arthur's thin lips parted slightly, his sharp gaze falling on him. "Do you really not know what secret Ella was talking about?"

Alan kept shaking his head. "I really don't know. We grew up together, and you know I forget things when I get drunk! I don't remember anything when I wake up!"

"Take care of yourself!"

Arthur downed the wine in one gulp and walked into the bathroom.

Alan pouted, "Not a good friend, keeping secrets!"

Early in the morning, the alarm clock rang.

Ella suppressed her anger, turned off the alarm, and got out of bed.

She entered the bathroom, gazed at her bleary-eyed reflection, and fumed with rage. "You want breakfast, huh? Just wait and see!"

Still groggy and full of anger, she went to the kitchen.

The rich aroma filled her nose.

She sniffed and saw the kitchen full of breakfast, making her swallow her saliva.

"Are you Ms.Worry-Free? Why are you up so early? The show crewsaid you just need to come down for breakfast on time!"

The show crew was generous, with everything arranged for them.

Looking at the people cooking in the kitchen, Ella smiled kindly. "I'm

picky about food,so I cook for myself!"

"Alright, everything is here. If you can't find something, just let us know!"

"Okay!"

After checking out the ingredients. Ella rolled up her sleeves and got to work.

Lost in her cooking, she didn't notice the kitchen staff had quietly left, leaving her alone.

Just as the steak was almost done, she was about to stretch when a pair of long arms wrapped around her waist.

"You..."

Ella was about to scream when a familiar scent hit her.

"Breakfast smells good," Arthur said in a deep, husky voice with seductive charm. He leaned close to her ear and gently bit it.

Ella shivered. "There are people here, you..."

Halfway through her sentence, she looked around and realized she was alone in the kitchen.

"Why are you acting crazy so early in the morning?"

"Just wanted to ask if you have anything to say to me!"

Arthur's long fingers lifted her chin, and they looked at each other through sunglasses.

Ella's eyes dodged, her heart racing.

Did he figure out her identity?

No,apart from their interactions in bed, they were practically strangers.

Silently comforting herself, Ella still nervously clenched her clothes, her fingers turning white from the force.

Arthur noticed her small movemenits and sneered, "You have some habits like my wife!"

With that. Ella's mind went blank.

Just as she didn't know how to respond, a sweet voice rang out.

"Arthur, Ms. Worry-Free, what are you doing here?"

At this moment. Ava wasn't an annoying mistress; she was a savior.

Ella quickly walked to the kitchen door. "I'm picky about food, so I made some breakfast myself!"

Ava nodded lightly, not sure if she believed it or not.

She walked up to Arthur, instinctively wanting to hold his arm.

Arthur stepped back, easily avoiding her approach.

"Arthur, the live broadcast starts today, and I'm quite nervous!"

Ava lowered her head and lightly bit her lip. "What if I say something wrong,or the viewers don't like me?"

"Silly girl!"

Arthur smiled and ruffled her hair.

"Hey,you're messing up my hair!"

Ava appeared displeased on the surface, but her eyes were full of smugness.

Ava swayed her body, glancing at Ella as if declaring Arthur was hers.

Ella stood there watching their interaction, her heart feeling like it was pricked by a needle.

Although she had decided to divorce him, seeing this scene still made her feel sad.

"You two carry on, I'll leave first!"

"Your burger isn't ready yet!"

Arthur's voice was cold, his tone indisputable.

Ella stopped, her hand slowly clenching. "Got it!"

Ava lowered her eyelashes, her gaze sweeping over Arthur and Ella.

She spoke sweetly, "Let's go to the living room and discuss some things,

okay?"

Arthur's thin lips pressed together, he didn't speak, just lifted his eyelids, his gaze sweeping over Ella.

Ava shook his arm, acting cute. "Please, it's my first time participating in such a show, I'm so scared and nervous."

"Alright, I follow whatever you say!"

Arthur responded, then walked out of the kitchen.

Ava followed. and as they passed by, she looked at Ella teasingly. "Don't covet what's not yours!"

Ella was stunned, looking up, meeting Ava's cold eyes.

In everyone's eyes. Ava was sweet and kind, but her eyes were full of calculation and coldness!

Ella laughed at herself. "Then keep your things safe! If it can be taken, it's not yours!"

"You..."
