Chapter 12

Hearing the name "Ms. Worry-Free," Alan's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

He watched the two nod and head out.

Then he grabbed his phone and dialed Arthur, "Arthur, get to Sean's place ASAP. The Ms. Worry-Free you're looking for is at Sean's company right now..." Alan's voice was buzzing with excitement, but before he could finish, Arthur hung up.

Arthur left him with just one line.

"Wait for me."

The receptionist who had previously attended to Ella and Lily walked in and whispered something to Sean.

Ella noticed Sean's face change instantly.

After the receptionist finished, Sean stood up abruptly.

Looking at Ella and Lily, he said, "Sorry, something urgent came up at the company. Can we reschedule the contract signing?"

Ella stood up, seeing that Sean indeed had something pressing.

Since they arrived, Sean had been nothing but polite.

Hearing him say this, Ella nodded. "Mr. Gray, go ahead with your work.We can reschedule."

Sean smiled apologetically."I2mreally sorry. How about we exchange contact information?" Ella was momentarily stunned. If she added Sean as a friend, wouldn't her identity be exposed?

Sean didn't think much of it and exchanged contact information with her before leaving.

Lily and Ella had to cut their visit short.

After walking out of the meeting room. Lily headed for the elevator on the left.

For some reason, Ella felt uneasy and pulled Lily to the elevator on the other side.

Maybe the left elevator was faster, as both elevators arrived almost simultaneously.

As the elevator doors opened, Ella quickly pulled Lily inside.

At the same time, Arthur walked out of the other elevator.

Luckily, the doors had already closed, and Arthur didn't see them.

Lily pointed at the elevator in surprise. "Was that Arthur just now?"

Ella nodded,finally understanding why she had that uneasy feeling earlier.

"How did you know Arthur would comne?" Lily was still curious.

Ella didn't have any prophetic abilities. It was just that Alan's reaction earlier was a bit too much. After knowing their identities, he walked out. It might also be due to her uneasiness and her intuition. "Arthur is well-informed; he even knew that Ms. Worry-Free would come here."Just then, the elevator doors opened. Ella explained as she walked out,"The person who came in later is Alan; he's Arthur's good friend. He must have told Arthur that Ms. Worry-Free was here." Lily's eyes widened. "He won't recognize you, will he?"

"I've disguised myself like this. Even if Arthur stood right in front of me,he might not recognize me." Ella shook her head.

Hearing this, Lily smiled mischievously. "Then why did you pull me to run so fast?"

Ella didn't respond. She was also worried that Arthur might recognize her.It was always better to be cautious.

When Arthur arrived, he saw Alan waiting outside.

Seeing him come over, Alan led him inside.

Looking at the empty meeting room, Alan scratched his head,puzzled.

"Where'd they go? They were just here."

Arthur gave him a look. "Are you kidding me?"

Noticing Arthur's expression, Alan instinctively shrank back. He pulled Arthur to sit down and explained, "I swear, I just saw Ms.Worry-Free. But she was wearing a hat and mask, so I couldn't see her face," Recalling the scene of meeting Ella and Lily earlier, Sean couldn't figure out howthey disappeared after he left for a while. Seeing Arthur still skeptical, Alan was about to expl ain furth er when he saw Sean walking by."Sean!" Alan called out, stopping him.

Sean walked in upon hearing his name and was momentarily surprised to see Arthur but still greeted him.

"Sean,was Ms.Worry-Free here just now?"

Sean glanced at him and nodded.

"See, I told you." Alan spread his hands, looking smugly at Arthur.

"But you were just unlucky to miss her."

Seeing Alan's expression, Arthur frowned and ignored him.

Instead, he looked at Sean. "Mr. Gray, are you planning to collaborate with Worry-Free Studio?"

Sean nodded."Yes, but I had something urgent come up, so we have to reschedule the contract signing."

Seeing they had no other business, Sean left. Only Alan and Arthur were left in the meeting room. Seeing Arthur silent, Alan sat down in a carefree and easygoing manner."What do you want with that Ms.Worry-Free?" "Ava wants a wedding dress designed by Ms. Worry-Free," Arthur said coldly. Alan was surprised and leaned forward. "You still have feelings for Ava?"

Hearing this, Arthur irritably looked up.

"If you keep talking nonsense, I'lI send you to the mines to work."

Seeing his serious expression, Alan instantly shut his mouth.

"Let me know in advance when Sean signs the contract with them."Arthur stood up to leave.

He didn't expect Ms. Worry-Free to be so mysterious. He had tried to investigate her but found nothing.

"Got it, just leave it to me." Alan patted his chest in assurance.

Ella and Lily drove back, with Ella stilI lost in thought.

"I was careless. I forgot Alan's cousin's company is the Stellar Achievement Group. Since you have Sean's contact, you can go alone to sign the contract." Ella leaned lazily against the seat.

Lily was driving back, giving Ella a rare chance to relax.

"Are you still worried Alan will recognize you? I think you're overthinking it." Lily glanced at her.

After getting ín the car, Ella had taken off her hat and mask.

Hearing this, she smirked. "Better to be cautious."Lily agreed. A new restaurant had opened near Worry-Free Studio recently, and they were planning to try it out. Walking arm in arm, they passed a man.As they brushed past, the man turned back in confusion and tentatively called out."Ella?"

Seeing Ella turn back, Glenn Cole realized he hadn't mistaken her.

"Didn't expect to run into you here." Glenn smiled as he approached them.

"What are you doing here?" Ella was surprised; she remembered that he had gone abroad a long time ago.
