Chapter 25

To make things smoother, the director set up a meeting room for each group.

Inside the meeting room...

Ella and Lily sat quietly, watching Ava show off.

Ava blushed, talking to herself as she poured out her heart.

"Ms. Worry-Free, I joined this show just for you. I'm getting married soon and I really hope you can design my wedding dress!"

She bit her lip, her face turning as red as a tomato.

Lily could barely hold it in, fighting the urge to kick her.

Ella's fingers dug into her palm as she calmly said, "Sure, as long as the price is right! We can work something out!"

"Really?" Ava's face lit up. "That's awesome! My fiancé and I have been through so much to be together."

Ava's soft voice kept echoing in their ears.

It was a really sweet love story.

For some reason, Ella didn't cut her off, nor did she stop Lily from doing SO. She just listened quietly, almost like she was punishing herself. After a while, Ava stopped, her mouth dry. "Sorry, I talked too much!" Lily nodded. "Yeah, you did! It's better to keep it low-key!"

"Just kidding! Let's get back to work!"

Switching gears, Ella got all professional.

Ava, who grew up with money, had her own take on fashion.

The three of them started bouncing ideas off each other with passion!

Ella was busy and loving it.

Meanwhile, over at Fiery Night Bar...

The music was blasting.

In a private room on the top floor, guys were surrounded by women, their hands all over them, the whole place reeking of decadence.

In the corner, Arthur, dressed in a custom suit, was swirling a glass of red wine. occasionally checking his phone.

As time went by, his mood got darker, and no one dared to get close to him.

In this lively room, he seemed totally cut off from everyone else.

Playing truth or dare, he lost, and a friend grabbed his phone andI sent a message to Ella.

He thought she'd text back soon, asking what was up.

But two hours went by with nothing.

Arthur's grip on the wine glass tightened, his face darkening.

A drunken Alan stumbled over. "So, did she reply?"

Arthur shot him a cold look. "She's probably still asleep!"

"No way! It's already eight o'clock!" Alan laughed. "Ella's on a business trip, maybe she's having some fun?"

"Shut up!"

Arthur got up and left the room.

He found a quiet spot and pulled out his phone. "Find out where she is!"

After hanging up, he was about to head back to the room.

Just then, Alan staggered over. "Let's go check out Ava's set! We can be judges!"

The smell of booze was strong.

Arthur frowned. "You, a judge?"

"Yeah!" Alan hiccupped.

Arthur took a few steps back, and Alan laughed. "I have great fashion sense! Plus, we're sponsors! Going to the set can boost the show's popularity!"

"No...”

Just as he was about to refuse. Arthur changed his mind. "Alright! I'll go with you!"

He was determined to see if, oonce the rumors about him and Ava hit the top of the trending topics again, Ella could still stay calm. They left right away.

Alan dragged Arthur into the car and they headed straight to the set, with Alan rambling the whole way.

An hour later, they arrived at the estate.

As soon as they stepped out of the car, the production team greeted them warmly.

Arthur stayed cool. just giving a slight nod, while Alan was all smiles, chatting it up with the director.

With the sponsors there, the director decided to throw a welcome party so everyone could mingle.

Arthur, who usually hated these social events, was about to decline when he saw Ava running over like an excited kid.

"Arthur!"

"Slow down!"

Seeing her rush over, Arthur quickly spoke.

"No way!" Ava playfully tugged at Arthur's sleeve. "Did you come to see me? I'm so happy!"

"How old are you to still be acting like a kid!"

Arthur patted her head. "Are you having fun?"

"Yes!" Ava laughed heartily. "Do you know who I'm working with?"

She playfully blinked; her lively eyes were charming and cute.

Arthur smiled. "Doesn't matter who you're working with,as long as you're happy!"

Ella came downstairs and heard this.

She lowered her head, adjusting her hat, mask, and sunglasses, making sure she wouldn't be recognized, and quietly approached the crowd, trying to blend in.

Lily grumbled, "Scumbag and bitch should stay together! Trash belongs in the trash can, not out here causing trouble!"

Ella's anger faded completely.

She couldn't help but laugh. "I never knew you had such a sharp tongue!"

"I've never seen such disgusting people!" Lily said, mnaking a gagging motion. "But I don't get it, why shouldn't we hide? And even come out and celebrate with everyone! If we don't see them, we won't be bothered."

"That's not a good idea. It's too attention-grabbing!" Ella patiently explained.

With the sponsors here, everyone came down to greet and network.

If the two of them stood out too much, it would attract attention.

To avoid revealing their identities, they had to endure the disgust and watch Arthur flirt with Ava.

Lily felt sorry for Ella."Poor Ella!"

The two whispered in the crowd, their voices low, but their behavior stood out, attracting attention.

Arthur, looking at Ava's smiling face, heard the whispers and looked over the crowd at the heavily disguised figure in the hat, sunglasses, and mask. Even though he couldn't see her face, she seemed very familiar, and he unconsciously moved in that direction.

Ava followed his gaze and, dissatisfied, grabbed his arm. "Where are you going?"

"Nowhere!"

Realizing his actions, Arthur retracted his steps. "Didn't you want a wedding dress designed? Did you talk to Ms. Worry-Free? I'll handle the money!"

"Of course I did!"

Ava happily waved her hands. "I want to wear the most beautiful wedding dress.and then..."

The two flirted openly, attracting envious glances from those around them.

Ella lowered her head, struggling to endure.

Fortunately, she had already decided to divorce Arthur, otherwise, she would have been infuriated bythis scumbag and bitch.

She was determined to take on the wedding dress design job; no one could take that money from her.

"What are you thinking?"

Lily's voice suddenly brought Ella back to reality."What's wrong?"

In her daze, she had revealed her real voice. She looked up in a panic, seeing Arthur's calm expression, not suspecting anything, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Lily quickly blinked. "Our biggest sponsor wants to thank you for designing a wedding dress for his beloved woman? And he will even pay the deposit!"

Her tone was full of sarcasm.
