Chapter 1788

chapter1788

Grady eventually heard about what went down at the Earl's place that night, and a hint of determination flickered across his face. He simply said, "Alright, I'll go see

what's up."

With that, he swept out of the room, coat tails trailing in his wake. The old butler hustled to keep up, curious about why the royal family had business with Miss Mira.

It didn't take long before Grady spotted a guy dressed as a guard standing by the fountain. He was the same personal guard who'd tagged along with Prince Lockie to the Earl's banquet a few days back. Grady didn't know him but narrowed his eyes a bit and walked over.

The guard, looking pretty anxious, quickly approached. With a polite nod and a quick intro, he asked, "Is Ms. Mirabella available to come with me to the palace?"

Hearing that he was from Lockie's camp, Grady was taken aback for a second but could tell there was no threat, so he relaxed a bit. "Miss Mira isn't home right now. If it's urgent, you can talk to me."

The guard hesitated for a moment, then, driven by urgency, blurted out, "Recently, Ms. Mirabella had the chance to treat our prince. Today, out of the blue, His Highness has fallen unconscious again. We really need her help."

Grady had heard of Prince Lockie, the royal heir, but didn't know Miss Mira had helped him before. The guard looked anxiously past Grady, pleading, "His Highness's condition is really serious. Please, help us!"

Grady thought for a few seconds, then pulled out his phone, saying, "She's indeed not here, but I can give her a call for you."

The guard nodded gratefully, clearly relieved.

**When Grady called, Mirabella was caught up in her work and didn't have her phone on her. She hadn't checked any messages or calls that came in. James noticed the phone vibrating on the coffee table. Seeing 'Grady' on the screen, he paused, set down his papers, and took the phone to the basement.

"Grady's calling for you," he said.

"Prince Lockie?" Mirabella's head shot up, surprise written all over her face. Wasn't that the chance she missed that was worth millions? Content originally comes from FindN()vel.net

Quickly changing tack, she said, "Actually, I'm free right now. Uncle, have him send me the location, and I can head over immediately."

As she spoke, her fingers tapped a couple of keys, shutting down her laptop. James, beside her, raised an eyebrow.

The call wrapped up quickly, and Mirabella pushed herself up using James's shoulder, in high spirits. "I've got to step out for a bit."
