Chapter 1879
chapter1879
Wyatt picked up the phone in a hurry, and Mirabella's voice came through on the other end. "I've sent the flight path to your phone. You can access it whenever you need, no strings attached." ? ? ? ?s, ?s? s fι?dnοvel.net
"That's great news," Wyatt said, a wave of relief washing over him as he thanked her several times.
"No need for thanks. If there's anything else you need, just give me a shout," Mirabella replied, her voice steady and reassuring.
Hearing this, Wyatt instinctively glanced over at Curtis, who was still seated by the window, eyes glued to his computer screen as he searched for the plane's signal. After a moment's thought, Wyatt asked, "The professor and his team lost contact right after crossing the border. Ms. Mirabella, since you're a tech whiz, could you help us track them down?"
Curtis, overhearing the conversation from nearby, seemed unfazed, not even batting an eye.
"Absolutely, send me the flight path," Mirabella said, moving over to her computer and getting to work.
The sudden radio silence of the plane seemed far from coincidental. Even if Wyatt hadn't mentioned it, Mirabella would have been on it.
Wyatt agreed and was about to hang up when he saw James reaching out for the phone. Realizing what was up, he quickly handed it over.
"Mr. Maverick was the one who guided you to that black meteorite in the underground vault, right?" James asked, diving straight in as he took the phone.
Having gone through some documents earlier, he recalled the shadowy figure Mirabella had mentioned from the vault.
Hearing James's voice, Mirabella paused for a moment before confirming, "Yes." Her tone was firm.
King was Mr. Maverick, and with Santos under his wing, the events of that day started to make sense.
Plus, she had her suspicions-King might be more than just one person.
Mirabella's gaze grew intense as she added, "Trevor's disappearance probably wasn't due to natural causes."
James caught her drift, glancing at the slowly closing cabin door. He simply reassured her, "Don't worry, my dad will be okay." "Yes, they're after me," Mirabella said softly.
Without her being drawn out, Trevor wouldn't be in any real danger.
Their conversation was brief, and they soon wrapped it up.
?
Not long after, Mirabella received a remote feed from Curtis. She hit the share button, and the computer. screen shifted, showing the black box data recorded before the plane went off the grid
Mirabella spent a few minutes going through the records. Just as she thought the last trace vanished right after they crossed the boundary with no warning signs of the data cut
Given the weather at the time and the plane's safety features, an accident seemed improbable.
The only likely explanation was that someone intentionally cut off the data transmission from the plane.
Mirabella pondered for a bit before switching over to the satellite map of the flight path.
The entire route pieced together
before her eyes, stretching to where
it disappeared Beyond that two,
paths fed north to Riverdale, while
pathisted
three others headed to different
domestic cities.
These routes were set; any deviation would trigger air defense protocols. So... Mirabella's gaze finally settled on the southernmost route.
The endpoint of that route was Carnell Ridge. Previously, when Nellie left her
family, she flew out of Carnell Ridge.
Mirabella paused, marking Carnell Ridge on the map.
Seeing this, Curtis immediately sat up straighter, "Ms. Mirabella, do you think the
plane went to Carnell Ridge?"
Sorry folks, the update will be posted during the day.
