Chapter 1873
chapter1873
Mirabella found herself standing right in front of Dylan, her mind having wandered a bit. Dylan's gaze shifted from the distant security checkpoint back to her, the suspicion in his eyes fading away. "All done?" he asked casually.
He gave James a polite nod in greeting. Mirabella nodded back, knowing Dylan was itching to check out the robot. She turned to ask James for directions to the baggage claim.
Just as she was about to ask, Wyatt appeared out of nowhere, offering to lead the way. Dylan walked alongside Mirabella, but after a few steps, he glanced back at the security checkpoint.
The archaeology team was slowly getting in line, but from where Dylan stood, he could only see their backs. Noticing his curious glance, Mirabella asked, "What's up?"
"Nothing," Dylan replied, shaking his head. "I thought I saw someone I recognized."
Mirabella raised an eyebrow and glanced in the same direction. The line wasn't crowded, just six or seven members from the archaeology team, most already through.
Could the familiar face belong to someone in the archaeology team? Pondering for a moment, Mirabella asked, "Do you know anyone from the Archaeological Society?"
"Nope," Dylan answered. He'd always been at Merrywoods, focused on cutting- edge network communications, not archaeology. But was the guy talking to the big boss from the archaeology team? Dylan couldn't quite place the familiarity and decided to let it go.
Before long, they reached the airport's baggage claim area. Thanks to prior arrangements, it was cleared just for them, ensuring no interruptions.
Dylan couldn't hide his excitement and jumped in to help Wyatt unwrap the packaging. Mirabella, feeling a bit second-hand mbarrassment. from her son's enthusiasm, rubbed her temple and stepped aside to check her phone.
She sent a compressed file she'd saved earlier to Dylan's email. After firing off the email and replying to a few messages, she glanced up to see Dylan thoroughly engrossed, examining the robot.
Why on earth was she letting him get all geeky over an innocent robot? Dylan was completely absorbed, especially when he accessed the built-in program instructions, looking like a kid in a candy store.
With the robot having a directional activation program, after a few minutes, Dylan reluctantly stepped back and turned to Mirabella, "How long did it take you to develop that human gene sensor database?" Chapters first released on find~novel~net
Mirabella shrugged casually, "Just a few days."

Mirabella was a programming whiz crafting programs light-years ahead of their time, often beyond imagination.
Sometimes he wondered if she was even human, as she seemed to set the bar impossibly high for other

Mirabella gave him a knowing look, "I've sent you the program files."
Dylan felt a little comforted, knowing he hadn't completely missed out on the
robot. Once back, he planned to upload the program into the robot's chip and stun those clueless folks at the company.
