Richard Lowell plotted to target Pearl Entertainment to get at Sophia Laurent.

He naively believed cutting off her corporate backing would make her compliant.

A cold glint flashed in Sophia's eyes as she imagined the coming confrontation.

Her lips curved slightly. "Thank you for arranging the introduction, Uncle Leonard."

She couldn't wait to see Richard and William's expressions when they met.

Leonard Roland ended the call with a knowing smile.

"Seven tonight at Villa Tuscany."

He glanced at Sophia. "I'll sit this one out. Enjoy your reunion."

Sophia understood perfectly. Leonard was giving her a chance to settle scores.

The entire business circle had witnessed how the Lowells treated her.

That afternoon, Sophia attended a business gala with Oliver Granger.

They immediately encountered Richard and William Lowell upon arrival.

William maintained an uncharacteristic composure.

He lifted his chin disdainfully. "Sophia."

She didn't turn. "Yes?"

"Too important to acknowledge us now that you've got Pearl Entertainment's backing?" William sneered.

Sophia laughed brightly. "Exactly. What can you do about it?"

William's face darkened.

"You're just an employee. Don't overestimate yourself." His gaze slid to Oliver. "Or is there something...unprofessional between you two?"

Oliver flushed with anger. "Watch your mouth, William!"

Seeing Oliver's reaction, William smirked victoriously.

"Hit a nerve?"
