Chapter 210

Chairman Huang's greasy face turned beet red in the boardroom.

He slammed his hands on the table and pointed at Sophia Laurent. "Who the hell do you think you are? How dare you lecture us?"

Sophia calmly adjusted her cuffs without even looking up.

"Mind your blood pressure, Chairman Huang."

Her casual remark only enraged him further.

"Since when does a woman run Valdemar Group?" He sneered. "Go home and take care of your kids!"

The shareholders exchanged uneasy glances. The air grew thick with tension.

Sophia suddenly smiled.

She slid a document to the center of the table.

"The Eden Project. Chairman Huang's responsibility."

The first page revealed staggering red numbers.

"Eight billion budget. One-year timeline." Sophia tapped the table. "Three billion over budget. Six months behind schedule. Only 50% completion."

Beads of sweat formed on Huang's forehead.

"Market fluctuations—"

"Really?" Sophia cut him off. "Then why was the contract awarded to your nephew's shell company?"

Gasps filled the room.

Shareholders passed the document around, their expressions darkening.

"More interesting," Sophia produced another file, "four billion additional funds were approved during Alexander's coma."

Her gaze turned razor-sharp.

"Where did that money really go?"

Huang shot up, his chair screeching across the floor.

"You're slandering me!"

Sophia pressed a remote.

Projected images showed Huang's nephew's new mansion and luxury cars.

"Three million dollar villa. Two limited edition sports cars." She smirked. "Business must be booming."

The room erupted.

"Huang Yousheng! You think we're fools?"

"No wonder you kept delaying progress reports!"

Huang's face turned ashen. His legs trembled.

Sophia stood, looking down at him.

"Now. Explain yourself."
