Chapter 120

The assistant exhaled sharply after ending the call with William Lowell.

He directed the driver to take Emily Lowell to her destination while rushing back to the police station with the lawyer.

"Christopher Lowell is charged with intentional property damage with aggravating circumstances," the officer stated impassively. "He's sentenced to ten days detention and a fine of one thousand yuan."

"What?" The assistant shot up from his seat. "That's impossible!"

He gestured to the lawyer beside him. "We're willing to compensate for all damages. This punishment is excessive!"

The officer pulled up surveillance footage. "The video clearly shows premeditated destruction."

Beads of sweat formed on the assistant's forehead.

He stepped into a corner and redialed William's number.

"Don't bother me!" William snapped, still fuming over the villa incident. "I can't deal with this now!"

The assistant's hand trembled slightly around the phone.

"Mr. Lowell, if the third young master gets detained, the company's reputation—"

A loud thud interrupted him as William slammed his desk.

"Tell PR to draft a statement blaming everything on Sophia Laurent!"

The assistant paled.

Ending the call, he forced himself to approach the officer again.

"We'll pay twenty times the damages. Could you possibly—"

"Take it up with the victim," the officer cut him off.

The assistant clenched his fists.

He knew Sophia wouldn't let Christopher off easily.

For the first time, resentment toward Emily surfaced in his mind.

If she hadn't gone crying to Christopher, he wouldn't have lost control.

But the real villain was Sophia.

That venomous woman would even scheme against her own brother.

A cold glint flashed in the assistant's eyes.

He would make Sophia pay for this.

At the police station, Christopher's face mask was removed.

Gasps erupted around the room.
