Chapter 262

The Three Million Gap

Had Alexander Valdemar been present, he wouldn't have batted an eye.

A mere three million was pocket change to him.

Julian Valdemar clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white.

His gaze darkened as it swept over Sophia Laurent's face. "Since you're unwilling to budge, I won't waste your time."

"Goodbye." Sophia didn't even blink.

Adrian Valdemar studied her reaction with amusement.

"Not even going to give him an out? Julian grew up with us."

He deliberately drew out his words. "What will you say when my brother wakes up?"

Sophia lifted her teacup. The surface remained perfectly still.

"Business is business between brothers. Any problem with that?"

Adrian's mouth twitched.

He suddenly remembered the consequences of his own last request for money.

Compared to getting beaten up, Julian had gotten off easy.

After breakfast, Adrian strode into Pearl Entertainment with a stormy expression.

Melanie Vance hesitated when she saw his mood.

"Have you seen... the news online?"

Adrian lazily lifted his gaze.

"What are they accusing me of this time?"

He was long accustomed to this treatment.

Melanie bit back a laugh, her shoulders shaking slightly.

"The 'Love You Forever' production team released a statement saying you acted like a diva..."

She handed him a tablet playing a video clip.

The footage showed Adrian coldly telling the director, "I quit," before walking off set.

The comments section was in an uproar.

[No surprise from the king of bad movies]

[Who does he think he is with that terrible acting?]

Adrian stared at the screen before letting out a mirthless laugh.

"Funny how they never showed this editing talent during filming."
