Chapter 304
The audition room fell into momentary silence.
Adrian Valdemar stood under the spotlight, his fingertips trembling slightly.
Suddenly, thunderous applause erupted.
"That's exactly the Young Marquis I envisioned!" Director Lucas Sheridan exclaimed, leaping to his feet.
The assistant director nodded vigorously. "The transition from playboy to hardened general was seamless."
"That face was sculpted by the gods," the stylist murmured in awe.
Adrian's gaze pierced through the crowd, locking onto Sophia Laurent standing in the corner.
She winked at him and flashed a victory sign.
Director Sheridan hurried over to Sophia.
"Where did you unearth this actor?" he whispered. "He's the living embodiment of this role."
Watching Adrian's flustered expression on stage, Sophia's lips curved upward unconsciously.
"Shall we sign the contract now?" she asked.
"Immediately!" Sheridan declared. "Have him report to the set tomorrow."
Meanwhile, social media exploded.
The official announcement of Adrian's casting in "Empress" instantly topped trending lists.
Comments flooded in:
"Dear god! The power of capital is terrifying!"
"Did Director Sheridan lose his mind?"
"Pearl Entertainment is determined to ruin 'Empress'!"
"Does Adrian's acting even deserve to share the screen with Scarlett?"
In the contract room, a pen glided smoothly across paper.
As Adrian set down the pen, his phone vibrated violently.
"How dare you lay hands on Damian?" Vincent Valdemar's voice dripped venom.
Adrian's eyes darkened, his knuckles whitening.
"He brought it upon himself," he sneered before ending the call.
On the other end, Vincent hurled his phone against the wall.
"That bastard has gone too far!" He turned to Damian lying on the hospital bed. "Your father will avenge this."
Damian stared blankly at the ceiling, his body still bearing repulsive marks.
