Chapter 103
Sophia Laurent's lips curved into an amused smile at his threat.
Richard Lowell stepped forward to mediate at just the right moment.
A benevolent smile graced his face as he spoke in a gentle tone. "Sophia, blood is thicker than water. Why let things escalate like this?"
At this moment, Richard resembled nothing more than a doting father offering sage advice.
"If you're willing to admit your mistakes, not only will we reinstate your position, but you'll also take the helm at Lowell Entertainment. Doesn't that sound fair?"
Since Sophia's departure, chaos had engulfed the Lowell Group, erasing all traces of its former order.
Her identity as Composer T was nothing short of a goldmine for Lowell Entertainment.
William Lowell seethed with resentment, yet he couldn't deny his desire for her return.
His gaze remained fixed on Sophia, scrutinizing every subtle shift in her expression.
Sophia burst into laughter upon hearing his proposal.
"Are you seriously daydreaming in broad daylight?" She arched an eyebrow. "Should I call an ambulance for you?"
Richard's expression darkened.
"Sophia, don't be ungrateful. Tonight, the founder of Pearl Group is dining with us."
"Do you really think he'll protect you the way Oliver did?"
Sophia casually adjusted her cuff.
"Instead of scheming, you'd be better off focusing on running the company properly."
Though William's capabilities were limited, the foundation she had built would sustain them for a while.
Her words were meant as sincere advice.
To William, however, they dripped with mockery.
His face turned ashen. "Sophia, those who live by the sword die by the sword."
Sophia chuckled. "I'll return those exact words to you."
With that, she turned to leave. "Oliver, let's go."
Richard watched her retreating figure, his brow furrowed.
Her reaction was far too composed.
Did she truly have something up her sleeve?
Sophia led Oliver away to greet the event organizers.
Oliver hesitated before finally speaking up.
"They invited you?"
Sophia nodded.
Oliver suddenly laughed. "Take me with you tonight."
"I can't wait to see their faces."
Sophia shrugged indifferently. "Suit yourself."
Just then, a tall figure approached.
Ethan Winston stood before them in a crisp black suit. "Sophia, may I have a word?"
