Chapter 305
The door burst open. Camera flashes flooded the room with blinding light.
Adrian Valdemar's face darkened instantly. He instinctively grabbed the sheets to cover himself. "Get out!" he roared.
The reporters ignored him. Their lenses focused relentlessly on the two figures in bed. Shutters clicked incessantly. The strobing flashes forced Adrian to squint.
"Do you have a death wish? The Valdemars will destroy you!" His voice cracked with hysteria.
The female director scrambled under the covers, only her terrified eyes visible. "Please stop..." she begged, trembling. "I'm begging you..."
Within thirty minutes, the scandal involving the Valdemar heir and the renowned director dominated every news platform. Trending lists exploded. Comment sections erupted in chaos.
Adrian fumbled into his clothes, his face ashen. He stormed out of the hotel while dialing his assistant. "Contact PR immediately. Suppress all coverage!"
At the Valdemar estate, Vincent Valdemar reviewed documents in his study. The butler rushed in. "Sir, there's an emergency!"
Vincent's fist slammed the desk when he saw the news. "That disgrace!"
Adrian staggered into the mansion and collapsed to his knees before his father. "Dad, I was set up!"
"Alexander and Sophia orchestrated this!" Tears streamed down his face. "They drugged me and filmed the whole thing to blackmail me..."
Veins bulged on Vincent's forehead. He snatched the landline and dialed Alexander's number. "You vile creature!"
The line went dead. Vincent trembled with rage, storming toward the door. "Prepare the car! I'm going to Serenity Villa!"
Adrian grabbed his arm. "Father, they still have the video..."
"I'll deal with Diana's precious son personally!" Vincent shook him off, eyes blazing.
At Serenity Villa, Diana Valdemar trimmed rose bushes. She didn't look up at the engine noise. "Bring me the shears."
Alexander hung up, his expression thunderous. He turned to Sophia. "I need to go back."
She handed him car keys. "Should I come?"
"No." He shook his head. "My mother's situation...is complicated."
After a pause, he added, "Take extra security when you go out. Vincent won't let this go."
Sophia smiled faintly. "Don't worry. I'm used to it."
Watching Alexander's retreating figure, she dialed Henry. "Arrange two teams of bodyguards. Twenty-four-hour rotation."
A respectful acknowledgment came through the line. Sophia gazed at the overcast sky through the window, her lips curling into a cold smirk.
