Chapter 370

Adrian Valdemar leaned against the doorframe, a playful smirk curling his lips.

"Sister-in-law, don't you think my brother's face could use some genetic improvement for the next generation?"

His teasing tone snapped Sophia Laurent out of her daze from Alexander's striking looks.

She rolled her eyes.

"Aren't you supposed to be on set for your morning shoot? Get moving."

Adrian clutched his chest dramatically.

"You even remember my schedule? I'm touched!"

Sophia sighed.

Downstairs, Alexander glanced up at the commotion.

His gaze lingered on Sophia, a flicker of admiration in his eyes.

Adrian gave a half-hearted wave. "Morning."

"Good morning, Mr. Valdemar," Sophia greeted politely.

Alexander nodded slightly. "Come have breakfast."

The aroma from the lavish spread was impossible to resist.

"Sorry for intruding last night," Sophia said, picking up a shrimp dumpling. "You can discard anything I used."

Her unspoken message was clear—she wouldn't be returning.

Alexander merely acknowledged with a quiet hum.

Adrian nearly stomped his foot in frustration.

These two were infuriatingly composed.

After breakfast, Sophia pulled out her ride-hailing app.

"Sister-in-law!" Adrian exclaimed. "Let Alexander drive you!"

He seemed determined to milk the "sister-in-law" address for all it was worth.

Sophia declined. "That's not necessary—"

But Alexander was already approaching.

"It's on my way," he said smoothly. "We'll go together."

Against her better judgment, Sophia nodded.

An hour later, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan stopped before Chateau Versailles.

"Thank you," Sophia said distantly.

Her Klein Blue dress and pearl-white flats made her glow under the lights.

Every head turned as she entered the venue.

Daniel Lowell, bleary-eyed from an all-nighter, blinked at Sophia as if seeing a mirage.

Meanwhile, Gabrielle Winston made her entrance in a haute couture red gown dripping with diamonds.

She basked in the instant spotlight.
